The vision of Camp Weekaneatit is to offer an exceptional camp experience including all of the fun, activities, camp friendships, color war, adventure and all with the peace of mind that all the food is gluten free! |
CAMP WEEKANEATIT is a program for youth with Celiac Disease and Gluten Intolerance - ages 7 - 17 (and their siblings)
|
"My daughter was at camp with you this summer. I can't tell you how much fun she had. She was diagnosed with celiac when she was just 2, so she has never known a world where she could just relax and be like everybody else. Camp gave her so much freedom, and she grew so much in just one week. Today is her birthday and her first day of school. Her camp friends have already texted to wish her happy birthday!

How are Camp Weekaneatit Staff selected?Camp Weekaneatit relies on the support of OUR staff team. Becoming a part of our Staff Team is an awesome experience that is both educational and rewarding. Staff Members are selected via an interview process, background checks and required references. Staff selection, training and management is handled by Camp Director, Jill Waddell.
|
Is there on-site medical care?Camp Weekaneatit is equipped with a 24-hour on-site health center, staffed by a professional medical team with the oversight of Dr. Jeff Lewis, our Camp Weekaneatit Medical Director. Careful steps are taken to ensure that campers follow the medical regimen prescribed by their doctors back home.

The daily schedule usually includes several activity periods (adventure course, boating, swimming, arts and crafts, team sports, etc.) and an Evening Activity (campfire, Talent Show, Scavenger Hunt, etc.), as well as three gluten free meals, a gluten free snack, a rest hour, and time for showering and clean-up and making life-long friendships.
